2004 Riesling $18.00 SORRY! SOLD OUT

There are still a few cases available of this, our very first release. 2004 was a cool, sleepy season that finally woke up and warmed up by September. The heat and sunshine lasted throughout the harvest and gave us some vivacious wines.

The fruit was ripe and the acids firm. We dodged some bird pressure (bloody starlings) and made a slightly dry wine. Yes it has some residual sugar. But trust me, had we not stopped this fermentation the acid would knock out a tooth.

Drink this one with salty and rich food. We accidentally served it with a Serrano ham and discovered a joy that Germans have been singing about for centuries. I also like it with any kind of cheese.
