Join our next Live at The Barrel Room broadcast (Monday, May 24, 4 PM MT / 7 PM EST) when Bryan Ulbrich (Left Foot Charley) and Amanda Danielson (Trattoria Stella) will be joined by three guests who are making game-changing wines at the viticultural edge. Fellow Michigan winemaker, Sean O’Keefe (Mari Vineyards) will be in the studio and Zooming from Pennsylvania and Arizona will be Sarah Troxell (Galen Glen) and Maynard James Keenan (Caduceus Cellars), respectively.

Order the wines from each winery in advance to taste along with us and enjoy a solid hour of education through conversation as we explore the quality and impact of oft-marginalized wine regions on the industry at large.

A Bit of Background
It all started with campaign fatigue in 2020. We thought it would be fun to stage a debate to determine which red grape variety Northern Michigan should hang her hat on. I moderated as Brought-to-you-by-the-Letter-B Bryan for Blaufränkisch faced off against High Street Sean O’Keefe representing Gamay Noir. It was so fun. It also generated a lot of interest as we naturally shifted between heady banter among good friends and serious wine-speak.
That inaugural broadcast inspired Bryan to benevolently broaden our objective and offer up The Barrel Room as a bastion of education through conversation that will draw attention to the impact of oft-marginalized wine regions on the industry at large.
